This is Bob Hoskins as a more traditional approach to a realistic Mario. If anything, he was the best part of that whole damn movie, so when I think of a real-life Mario... I think of him!
He's wearing the more traditional Mario outfit, shirt and overalls, but looks more realistic than just a simple long-sleeve shirt and detail-less overalls. He's wearing a red flannel shirt and a red cap similar to his in the movie. Still, the classic red "M" is omitted, but is replaced with an embroidered name tag sewn onto his overalls.
