The Real Mario Bros. by HappyRussia The Real Mario Bros. by HappyRussia
Yes, the Super Mario Bros. movie was awful. But is there any reason to believe we can't imagine a better film? With a different plot, different ideas? So, like my previous Donkey Kong piece, this one somewhat realistically takes on the classic 1983 game, "Mario Bros."

The bumbling brothers from the Mario film once again take up their plungers and find themselves in a dank, dark sewer filled with the oddest creatures imaginable! Giant flies, giant crabs, odd yellow turtles and spike-covered tortoises!

Going with a realistic approach here, I re-imagined Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo into a better interpreted look to their video game counterparts. Still omitted are the trademark "M" and "L," but instead they have name tags embroidered into their overalls, much like an actual plumber would with his jumpsuit. Since these guys are from Brooklyn, how could they not be New York fans? So, instead of any old baseball cap, Luigi here wears a NY Jets knit cap. Being from New York, I figured either of them could wear their NY pride while on the job.

Created in Adobe Photoshop CS3. Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo belong to themselves, clearly. Mario Bros. belongs to Nintendo, © 1983.

I liked the Mario film. xD I wouldn't mind a legit sequel or at least a reboot.
